Global ESG at S-5!

S-5! is proud to be a leading, American-made manufacturer, dedicated to upholding the highest standards of environmental sustainability, social responsibility and effective corporate governance in all aspects of business. Our commitment to these principles is reflected in our Global ESG strategy, which shapes not only the development of our products and services, but how they impact the environment and the communities we serve– locally, nationally and globally. This commitment is upheld by all employees, including executives, officers and directors of the company, and our sustainability efforts are regularly reviewed and updated.

Environmental

S-5! strives to minimize the impact its operations and manufacturing have on local environments and the planet. We focus our efforts on reducing energy consumption in our production by using energy-efficient equipment, materials and processes. S-5! uses highly recyclable aluminum in its manufacturing, which supports sustainable practices and helps reduce the energy-intensive consumption of primary/virgin aluminum. By using recycled materials, such as aluminum, S-5!  significantly reduces its carbon emissions and its impact on the environment.

We use a sorting process to capture all scrap to increase post-manufacturing recycling and reduce waste, and we implement water conservation measures and treatment of wastewater before disposal. Additionally, we rely on solar-powered energy at its Colorado corporate headquarters and Texas manufacturing plant to further reduce its impact on the local grid.

Social

S-5! fosters a positive and inclusive work environment where every team member is respected, valued and empowered. We extend this social responsibility to our supply chain partners, as we strive to positively impact our employees, our communities and the people we serve. We invest in the safety of our employees by meeting OSHA requirements and providing ongoing safety training to ensure their well-being. 

We are committed to providing a work environment that is free from harassment and discrimination. We maintain a zero-tolerance policy towards unethical and unsafe behavior, while fostering a culture that champions diversity, equity and inclusion. We partner with local and national charitable organizations and encourage staff, partners and end users to get involved in these charity initiatives.

Effective governance, incorporating the system of rules, practices and processes we follow, is a key component of the Global ESG policy at S-5! We uphold the highest level of honesty, transparency and accountability to our employees, directors, customers and stakeholders across all areas of our operations. S-5! has set strategic initiatives to support its Global ESG efforts by engaging employees at all levels of the company, including its board of advisors, chief operating officer, as well as all employees.
