The S-5-TXL ("TXL" is for extra-large "T") is specifically designed for the McElroy Metal Trap-Tee and Morin® SymmeTry® metal roof profiles. An innovative insert makes installation a breeze anywhere along the seam.
The S-5-TXL is ideal for T-shaped standing seam profiles with a horizontal projection of up to 1.7" (43 mm).

Like all of S-5!'s standard and mini clamps, the S-5-TXL has undergone rigorous load testing, including normal-to-seam (pull-up) and parallel-to-seam (drag load).
The S-5-TXL has two setscrews that will dimple the roofing material but will not penetrate it, ultimately leaving the roof's warranty intact.

Partially thread the provided round-point setscrews into the clamp by hand. Position the clamp at the desired location along the seam. Install by rotating the clamp over the seam, so the batten cap of the seam is nested into the horizontal throat of the clamp. Slide the insert into position within the clamp body. Calibrate screw gun torque control using a dial indicating torque wrench to achieve the recommended torque. (See Torque Chart). Using the T30 Torx bit tip with the screw gun, tighten the setscrews. Tension one setscrew, then the other. Repeat this sequence once more on the now-compressed seam material. The setscrews will compress and dimple the seam material but will not penetrate it.
